Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Systems Technician with extensive experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens technologies. The successful candidate will be tasked with the upkeep, testing, and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a high-output manufacturing setting. A profound knowledge of PLC programming, HMI setup, and control circuit diagnostics is essential for maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Management: Oversee the startup and shutdown of machinery in accordance with operational standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Technical Assistance: Deliver thorough support for PLC systems and network connections throughout the production area.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and rectify problems related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems, including numerical controls and HMI devices.
  • Circuit Analysis: Analyze and act on wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to conduct emergency repairs, installations, and regular inspections.
  • Maintenance Duties: Execute comprehensive maintenance of electronic systems, perform component evaluations, and replace defective circuit boards and other electronic components.
  • Training Development: Create and document training programs centered on control systems to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Safety Practices: Uphold and promote safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and prompt reporting of hazards.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with various departments to assess and resolve production-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Technician Certification or Associate's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in PLC programming, HMI setup, and high-voltage electrical maintenance in an industrial context.
  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive understanding of electrical/electronic components, diagnostics with specialized tools, and hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in PLC software, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting software/hardware challenges.

Work Environment:

  • Conditions: The position involves indoor work with potential exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
  • Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work on 2nd, 3rd, or split shifts as required. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting items up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent mobility, including climbing ladders and navigating workspaces on foot.
