Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Coach to join our team. As a Behavioral Coach, you will work closely with individuals with IDD and/or behavioral health diagnoses, providing coaching and training to support their behavioral goals. You will also work with families and caregivers to build capacity and promote positive behavioral supports.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide face-to-face or virtual coaching and training to individuals with IDD and/or behavioral health diagnoses
  • Assist with development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
  • Work with families and caregivers to ensure all materials and supplies needed for implementation of behavior plans are available
  • Present graphical summaries of effectiveness of BSP to families and caregivers at meetings
  • Model positive behavioral supports and respond to emergency situations as trained
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessment Interviews and/or Observations, as assigned by BCBA or Director
  • Participate in provider wraparound or consultation meetings by reporting assessment results and offering rationale for best practice recommendations in areas of expertise
  • Provide crisis de-escalation support to teams as required
  • Complete all documentation as expected in a timely manner
  • Fulfill all supervisory requirements in accordance with BACB standards
  • Collaborate with and regularly update Director and other team members on individual and provider support activities
  • Attend all agency, departmental, and client-specific meetings as directed
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation to supervisor or department head
  • Comply with all organization standards to assure the health, safety, and confidentiality of all individuals

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor degree in a human or social services related field is required
  • Registered Behavior Technician in the State of California
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with IDD and/or BH diagnoses
  • Valid BLS CPR and Basic First Aid certification
  • Crisis de-escalation verbal skills and physical management training certificate, i.e., Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
  • Maintain valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Must be computer literate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent bilingual speaker in one or more of the following languages: (English/Spanish; English/Mandarin; English/Korean; English/Tagalog)
