Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement savings, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading teams of general construction laborers performing work including physical labor, using hand tools, and lifting materials. You will also be responsible for understanding project schedules, assuming additional responsibilities, and working extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines. Other key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining equipment daily to ensure it functions properly and safely;
  • Maintaining quality control, and site safety;
  • Researching and determining methods and procedures on new or unique assignments in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements;
  • Handling all employee matters with consistency and fairness without discrimination;
  • Maintaining internal employee communication and engagement through feedback programs, surveys, and one-on-one meetings;
  • Aligning the work with Helicon's culture and strategic goals.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, and 3+ years of experience in construction general labor and/or working outside for long hours. Additionally, you will need to have reliable transportation, a valid FL driver's license, and a clean driving record. Familiarity with construction project team management and delegation, excellent project management skills, and the ability to build rapport and meaningful relationships are also essential. A good human who cares about all humans, knowledge of engineering and construction processes, codes, and standards, and well-organized individual who can meet deadlines are desirable traits for this position.

Work Schedule and Environmental Conditions

The work schedule for this position will require flexibility, including weekends and holidays. Local day travel is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary. The work environment will involve working near or with moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate-loud noise.
