Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Agent to lead and oversee various elements of our supply chain operations. This role will involve managing the billing processes, modifying purchase orders, and maintaining accurate information for the Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Supply Planner to address purchase order challenges and ensure timely communication with suppliers.

This position will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain, contributing to both short-term and long-term strategic planning to drive success in a dynamic and rapidly growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the billing process, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Monitor purchase order shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Update delivery dates for purchase orders in our ERP system to support inventory reporting.
  • Process modifications to existing purchase orders as needed.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Master Vendor List to ensure accuracy.
  • Update the Master Item Price List and product specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Facilitate purchase order resolutions.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure timely payment of purchase orders and deposits.
  • Work with warehouse staff to maintain accurate inventory details.
  • Assist the Supply Planner with purchase order management tasks.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in supply planning, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of implementing effective changes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with supply planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency (e.g., NetSuite, Grow, SourceDay).
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in international procurement and shipping is a plus.
