Patient Services Director

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services RN Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, staff competence, and customer service outcomes within designated units or services.
Key Responsibilities- Assure quality and appropriateness of care by facilitating and supporting the establishment of unit-based quality improvement programs and supporting continuous improvement processes.
- Create an environment of shared decision-making by promoting multidisciplinary collaboration on patient care and related issues.
- Promote positive customer relations with physicians, patients, families, visitors, and employees by following up on all complaints and providing feedback.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate staff development and competency maintenance programs to ensure that elements of performance improvement findings are incorporated into educational programs as appropriate.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust capital and operating budgets to provide variance reports and/or corrective action plans as requested.
- Develop business plans and/or requests for proposals as requested/required.
- Collaborate with peers and other members of the healthcare team within the facility and system to ensure that all policies, procedures, and standards related to assigned unit/service areas are reviewed/revised as outlined by regulatory standards.
- Masters Degree Required in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Three to five years experience, which may be concurrent clinical and/or progressively more responsible management experience.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is a 1,400-bed hospital located in Detroit, Michigan. We are a comprehensive heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. We operate more than 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Wayne and Oakland Counties.
