Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and driven A&D Specification Rep to join our team. This role is critical in building and maintaining relationships with architects and designers, helping to specify M|R Walls products in top commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the architectural or design products industry, existing relationships with A&D firms in the DC area, and be a self-driven, determined go-getter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify, target, and develop relationships with architects, designers, and key decision-makers at top commercial firms.
  • Product Presentations: Conduct in-person presentations and library updates to introduce M|R Walls products with strong product knowledge and fluency in M|R Walls offerings.
  • Client Management: Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Project Tracking: Manage a pipeline of projects from concept through to specification, collaborating closely with our technical and design teams.
  • CRM Management: Utilize Copper CRM to log all calls, emails, and track project activity to ensure seamless follow-up and client communication.
  • Industry Networking: Attend architecture and design events, roadshows, and conferences to build awareness and create opportunities for M|R Walls products.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, ideally in architectural or design products, or construction materials.
  • Existing contacts or a book of business in the architecture and design industry is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate design and technical excellence.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Copper, for tracking and reporting activities.
  • A self-starter with a proactive approach to building client relationships and driving revenue.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
