Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and driven Accounting Manager to become part of our vibrant finance team. This is a permanent, full-time role that presents an exciting chance to lead and oversee our organization's financial functions.
As the Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with the comprehensive management of our accounting division, which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Profit and Loss Management, and Cash Flow Oversight.
You will be responsible for establishing a robust system of controls, procedures, and documentation for the accurate recording of financial transactions.This role reports directly to the CFO and is pivotal in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency as we strive to enhance our service offerings and expand our capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and the overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Direct the accounts payable team to ensure the precise and timely processing of invoices and purchase orders.
- Supervise the accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, cash collections, and follow-ups.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for each department.
- Manage and monitor the performance of invested assets in accordance with established policies and investment guidelines.
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation tasks.
- Oversee the development and management of organization-wide budgets.
- Compile and present financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all internal processes and compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. A master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
- Demonstrated experience in team management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and systems.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
- Sound business acumen and common sense.
