High Voltage Electrician

EMCOR Government Services is a leading provider of facilities management and operations services to government organizations. Our team of experts delivers a wide range of services, including installation and maintenance, workforce and security support, logistics, and project management.

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrician to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high-voltage electrical systems at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) facilities in Washington. The successful candidate will be an essential member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality electrical systems operations and management services.

• Provide 24/7/365 support for the operation of electrical systems at NGA facilities and grounds.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and components, adhering to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
• Support overall capacity management of electrical systems to ensure capability is in balance with known and/or future demand requirements.
• Ensure timely application of Government and local regulations, codes, standards, policies, and procedures related to NGA electrical systems operations and management.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers to achieve mutually beneficial business relationships.
• Recommend ways to improve the full spectrum of electrical systems operations and services delivery process to ensure high-quality goods and services are delivered on time and within cost.
• Proactively seek feedback from clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist internal and external auditors and inspectors.
• Monitor electrical subcontractors in their tasks and provide reports when needed.
• Support overall capacity management of electrical systems to ensure capability is in balance with known and/or future demand requirements.
• Ensure electrical system modifications comply with all code requirements and original design intent for NGA Washington.
• Keep accurate documentation and perform analysis of activities and processes to improve contract performance.
• Proactively seek feedback from clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist internal and external auditors and inspectors.

• Current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
• Must possess and maintain a Journeyman Electrician License or higher.
• Possess and be current in the following certifications:
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Electrical Power Testing Level II Certification.
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace Certification.
  • OSHA ten hour and 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level I Infrared Thermography Certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with:
  • Square D Equipment such as P24 Switch Gear, VR MV Breakers, and Master Pack Breakers.
  • ASCO transfer switches.
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of Electrical Switchgear.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of Building Electrical Systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of all facilities maintenance and operations, including complex electrical and associated control systems.
• Highly developed leadership, management, supervisory, interpersonal, analytical, and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a diverse and dynamic environment with short notice taskings and under high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge and experience with the ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is highly desired.
