Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at ESI Security Services. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the protection and safeguarding of assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform security patrols in a company vehicle to ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties.
  • Enforce post procedures and policies to maintain a secure environment.
  • Protect properties from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents by identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, equipment damage, presence of unauthorized persons, theft, and other security-related situations.
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors while following post procedures.
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and clients in all situations.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold an active PILB card or be able to obtain one.
  • Have a flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, snow, or ice.
  • Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgment.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance and provide excellent customer service as needed.
  • Be able to operate a handheld radio, cell phone, or other communication device.
  • Have good written and verbal skills, with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
Education/Other Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Or one year of equivalent work experience.
