Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Cashier to join our team at Holiday Station Stores. As a Retail Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Ring up sales on a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling various payment types.
  • Perform multi-function tasks, including operating fuel consoles, lottery machines, and money order machines.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety and proper working order, reporting any issues to management.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying vendor deliveries, controlling merchandise and cash shortages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, including attending job-related meetings and training sessions.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced retail environment with occasional exposure to extreme cold temperatures, noise, and physical demands. The ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and push/pull with arms up to 20 pounds is required.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
