About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer II to join our team at Trident Systems in Fairfax, VA. As a key member of our Space Electronic Systems division, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing mixed-signal Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Printed Circuit Assembly (PCA) solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-speed digital circuits, including FPGA and microprocessor development
  • Develop and test PCB and PCA designs, utilizing High Density Interconnect (HDI) and high-speed components/circuits
  • Support and enhance existing embedded hardware primarily at the PCB/PCA level
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with embedded hardware design
  • Strong knowledge of mixed-signal circuit card assembly development, including HDI PCBs and high-speed components/circuits
  • Experience with circuit simulation, circuit analysis, and signal integrity tools/techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Xilinx family devices, including Zynq UltraScale+ architecture
  • Experience with design for extremely demanding/rugged environments
  • Experience with writing test software in C/C++ or assembly language
