About the Role:
The Resident Care Director (RCD) is a key leadership position at Sunrise Senior Living, responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of our residents. As a clinical leader, you will manage and direct the nursing team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for resident care, managing and directing the nursing team to promote health and wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Manage medication care managers to ensure resident safety and promote medication management best practices.
- Lead quality assurance and regulatory compliance initiatives to mitigate risk and improve resident care outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
