Your Mission:

As an Industrial Engineer at Autocar, your primary focus will be on introducing new products and options into manufacturing while enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with plant leadership to develop and implement strategies that drive continuous improvement across our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Develop and maintain accurate work instructions, tooling, and processes to ensure seamless implementation of new products and options.
  • Manufacturing Efficiency: Collaborate with design teams to provide guidance on design for manufacturing and optimize production workflows.
  • Six Sigma and Lean: Apply Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Facilities Management: Manage facilities and tooling development to ensure readiness for new product launches.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in automotive or heavy truck assembly.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S, and visual management.
