We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Carolina Therapeutic Services. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Coordinate daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and checkout, and patient medical record maintenance.
- Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by providers, including blood draws and injections.
- Maintain lab tests and QC protocols for lab equipment.
- Communicate with referral sources.
- Complete medication authorizations and medication refills.
- Efficiently manage Electronic Medical Records.
- Submit labs in-house and outside facilities.
- Triage patient phone calls.
- Routine lab medication maintenance for continuity of care.
- Medication Reconciliation.
- Completion of an Associate degree or Certified Medical Assistant program (preferred).
- 1 year working in a medical office setting (preferred).
- Experience working with an Electronic Health Records.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, be able to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
- Must be able to pass federal and state background verification.
- Knowledge of medical terms and codes, laws, ethics, practice, and malpractice specialties.
- Analytical Skills.
- Detailed-oriented precision and technical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
