Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Carolina Therapeutic Services. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and checkout, and patient medical record maintenance.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Prepare and administer medications for patients as directed by providers, including blood draws and injections.
  • Maintain lab tests and QC protocols for lab equipment.
  • Communicate with referral sources.
  • Complete medication authorizations and medication refills.
  • Efficiently manage Electronic Medical Records.
  • Submit labs in-house and outside facilities.
  • Triage patient phone calls.
  • Routine lab medication maintenance for continuity of care.
  • Medication Reconciliation.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Associate degree or Certified Medical Assistant program (preferred).
  • 1 year working in a medical office setting (preferred).
  • Experience working with an Electronic Health Records.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, be able to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
  • Must be able to pass federal and state background verification.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and codes, laws, ethics, practice, and malpractice specialties.
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Detailed-oriented precision and technical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
