The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the review and development of system engineering plans, program and schedule oversight, operations analysis, system integration, export compliance, documentation review, technical brief preparation, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Engineering Support Services (ESS) to the U.S. Navy Foreign Military Sales Directorate.
- Engage in both remote contractor environments and on-site locations.
- Provide comprehensive programmatic and technical assistance.
- Oversee the development of System Security (SS) solutions, ensuring compliance with Technical Implementation Guide (TIG) and integration with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) systems.
- Support the risk management process.
- Develop and review Systems Engineering (SE) Plans and Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP).
- Draft and assess point papers, general correspondence, and technical presentations.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in System Security within DoD major platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Familiarity with Combat System Architecture, including design, production, operations, and support processes.
- Experience in System Security Engineering (SSE) and System Security, encompassing Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, protection solution development, integration, testing, verification, and the complete System Security lifecycle.
- Understanding of Security Cooperation Policy, particularly regarding Foreign Military Sales.
- Proven experience in technical communication with senior stakeholders, risk management, trade-off analysis, and developing strategies to support FMS export.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse programmatic and technical tasks independently.
- Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and effectively advocate for program office positions in challenging discussions.
- Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP-ISSAP).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in creating System Security Engineering Plans (SEP), System Security Plans, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of export policy and interactions with relevant offices.
- Experience in supporting SSE activities as outlined in DoD Acquisition guidelines.
- Expertise in designing complex integrated hardware and software solutions, including secure boot, cryptographic key management, active sensing, and system response.
