About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Engineer II to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Respond to guest requests for maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our facilities and services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance; supervisory experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hotel software and systems, including maintenance management and energy management systems.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to train and mentor other engineers and maintenance staff.
