Job Overview

Areté Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scientific Research Assistant to join our team. As a Scientific Research Assistant, you will work closely with our Scientists and Engineers to aid in a variety of programming tasks, provide integration and test support, and apply your knowledge to solve routine problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, revise, update, compile, debug, and write business, scientific, or software computer programs.
  • Develop flow charts and diagrams outlining process steps in operation.
  • Develop and revise program code.
  • Prepare documentation of program development, modifications to code, and operating instructions.
  • Conduct program tests and analyze system capabilities to resolve input/output problems.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or higher in physical sciences, computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Experience with scientific programming in Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Required to be on-site, not a remote work position.

Salary and Benefits:
