Position Overview

Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Services Aide. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of quality food services to our patients and guests.

The primary responsibilities include preparing food portions, assembling and disassembling patient trays, and serving customers in a safe and efficient manner. You will also assist with stocking and inventory management in the nutrition areas, contributing to a well-organized service environment.

This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic team setting, where both customer service and food service skills are highly valued. As a member of the nutrition services team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of patients, guests, and staff by providing nourishing meals that support their health and well-being.

Work Location : Fairview Health Services facilities
Work Hours : 40 hours biweekly, with weekend shifts required
Shift Schedule : Day shifts available

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion food accurately for designated areas.
  • Deliver meal trays while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Plate and serve food in a professional manner.
  • Ensure safe food handling and storage in accordance with health standards.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces as per established protocols.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils efficiently.
  • Provide service in cafeterias and other dining areas.
  • Adapt service approaches to meet the diverse needs of the population served.
Qualifications

Preferred Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and basic math skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
