Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing exceptional patient care and experiences.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in providing high-quality patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain medical histories and symptoms from clients
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and implement safety protocols for fellow staff members
  • Provide nursing care, including restraining patients, administering medications, applying and maintaining bandages, and proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Assist with surgery prep and anesthesia monitoring
  • Participate in dental prophylaxis and other veterinary procedures
Requirements
  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) is strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years experience working as a Veterinary Assistant
  • 3+ years experience working in a veterinary emergency setting
