Diagnostic Technician

As a Diagnostic Technician at Hendrick Subaru Southpoint, you will be responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role requires a thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems, as well as demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Examine customer vehicles to identify necessary repairs and maintenance
• Estimate cost of repairs and perform vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Document services performed and maintain accurate records
• Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines to ensure quality and efficiency
• Request necessary parts and effectively utilize available technologies to enhance customer experience
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance
• Valid driver's license and state inspection/emissions license required
• Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer
Work Environment:
This role requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to loud noise, vibration, and exhaust fumes.
