The Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Director for Lifelong Faith Formation to assist in the mission of evangelizing catechesis.

  • This role is responsible for overseeing Adult Faith Formation, implementing the archdiocesan religion curriculum guide, and training catechists.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the faith, effective communication skills, and experience in catechetical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish annual goals and projects to strengthen faith formation.
  • Develop relationships with pastors and catechetical leaders to support parishes.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Forming Disciples Religion Curriculum guide.
  • Train and supervise catechists, including coordinating children's catechesis.
  • Assist in implementing the Order of Christian Initiation and ensuring ongoing catechist certification.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Catechesis, Religious Education or Theology.
  • 3-5 years of experience in catechetical leadership.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written skills.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office and web-based software systems.
