This position oversees all sanitation efforts, coordinates with production and QA teams, and staffs the night QA position. If you have strong self-organization and task management skills, and are fluent in English and Spanish, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Key Responsibilities
  • Test and release finished product samples to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Monitor critical control points in processing to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Conduct regular environmental monitoring swabs and record results to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Participate in regular Food Safety Team meetings to discuss and implement best practices
  • Ensure the plant is audit-ready for SQF, Organic, FDA, and customer audits
  • Coordinate and oversee all sanitation personnel to ensure efficient and effective sanitation operations
  • Release equipment for use after pre-operational inspections and ensure all lines are cleaned and ready for morning start-up
  • Represent the operations team in the absence of line leads as needed
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, with strong self-organization and task management skills
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages
  • Physical ability to move and lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and work in cold rooms
  • Ability to use a computer and tablet, with proficiency in relevant software and systems
