**Job Summary:**

The Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional medical care to our patients. As a licensed and certified non-physician healthcare provider, you will render direct patient care, possess delegated prescriptive authority, and be credentialed and privileged.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patients' physical and mental conditions, ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine and professional practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and mental conditions through comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.
  • Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
  • Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures according to approved protocols/policies.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
  • Evaluate patients' responses to healthcare provided and the effectiveness of care.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, management of health illnesses/conditions, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited program.
  • Less than 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits, 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and PTO accrual beginning Day 1.
