As a Speech Language Pathologist at St. Lukes Health–Sugar Land Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ranging in age from newborns to geriatric individuals. Your responsibilities will include performing modified barium swallow studies to determine a patient's ability to swallow safely, as well as cognitive evaluations to assess a patient's ability to make decisions for themselves.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for documenting all assessment results and working with physicians and other clinicians to develop a plan of care and track all treatments and patient progress. Additionally, you will use exercises, modalities, and/or adaptive devices to work with patients to improve speech, memory, cognition, etc. You will also educate patients and families on these processes so they can make informed decisions for the patient.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Preference will be given to candidates with acute therapeutic work experience and strong independent work skills.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this position is $30.55 - $44.30 per hour, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
