We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient areas, schedules, and medical records according to standard procedures
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, establish reasons for visits, and prepare patients accordingly
  • Provide direct and indirect care, identifying and recording physical findings, verifying medications, and performing medication reconciliation
  • Collect and document various forms, monitor patient flow, and assist in managing access
  • Perform clinical functions, such as measuring vital signs, conducting tests, and documenting information in patient charts
  • Notify patients of normal laboratory results and report abnormal results under the instruction of licensed staff
  • Complete prescription refills, check notes, and laboratory results, and select pharmacies for medication
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Education or on-the-job training as a Medical Assistant (experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT meets this qualification)
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) or the ability to complete within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualification:
  • Medical Assistant Certification
