About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Viasat. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Viasat Broadband System onboard customer aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the Viasat Broadband System in accordance with company, airline, and FAA regulations.
  • Work closely with our Customer Support Center and Planning team to ensure all maintenance and preventative maintenance is performed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with maintenance vendors and airline personnel to provide training on the Viasat system and ensure all tooling and equipment is up to date.
  • Assist in diagnostics checks on Viasat systems installed onboard customer aircraft.
  • Provide feedback to vendors and airline partners regarding Viasat systems and identify areas for Continuous Improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in assisting customers with aircraft line maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Demonstrated experience with documenting maintenance work with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical material to a variety of audiences.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and occasionally internationally.
