Job Title: Life Launch Direct Support Professional

At Partnerships in CommunityLiving, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Life Launch team. As a Life Launch Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing essential attendant care supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in an employment setting.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with I/DD. As a Life Launch Direct Support Professional, you will work closely with our team to provide personalized supports that enable individuals to succeed in their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide On-the-Job Attendant Care (OTJAC) supports in various community businesses, focusing on health-related supports that enable individuals to stay on task and succeed in their employment duties.
  • Offer aid during breaks and lunches, as well as provide physical assistance in the restroom, as needed.
  • Monitor assigned caseloads and assist with designing weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing is in place to meet individuals' needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community businesses and other locations where individuals are being supported.
  • Respect and protect the confidentiality and privacy of the individuals supported.
  • Implement all Positive Behavior Support Plans and other specific positive behavior and health supports.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (Diploma/GED not required).
  • Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25 lbs (some shifts require more).
  • Be able to be certified and maintain an acceptable level of certification in Oregon Intervention System (OIS).
  • Be able to be certified and maintain certification in CPR/First aid.
  • Pass a state/federal Criminal history and protective service investigation check, this may include being fingerprinted.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills - computer assessment will be administered before hiring.
  • Attend a two-week in-person paid orientation training.
