Job Title: Individual Services Direct Support Professional

At Partnerships in CommunityLiving, Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual Services Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in their homes and communities.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and patient individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals with varying levels of need, including assistance with daily living activities, medical and health services management, and financial resources and money management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in their homes and communities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Support individuals with medical and health services management, including medication administration and health-related tasks
  • Assist with financial resources and money management, including budgeting and bill payment
  • Work collaboratively with legal representatives and guardians to ensure that individual preferences are honored
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25 lbs
  • Be able to be certified and maintain an acceptable level of certification in Oregon Intervention System (OIS)
  • Be able to be certified and maintain certification in CPR/First aid
  • Pass a state/federal Criminal history and protective service investigation check, this may include being fingerprinted
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Basic computer skills
Training and Support:
  • Attend a required Meet and Greet in Monmouth, OR
  • Shadow shifts between Meet and Greet and Orientation Training
  • Attend a two-week in-person paid orientation training in Monmouth, OR
  • Complete all classes and submit all documentation required during orientation
