You will oversee all aspects of our graduate training program, ensuring that interns receive comprehensive supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the graduate training program, encompassing recruitment, curriculum review, orientation, and ongoing professional development for students in our practicum and internship programs.
  • Provide expert supervision, consultation, and professional development to licensed counselors, focusing on areas such as intake assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and individual, relationship, and group counseling.
  • Collaborate with the hiring team to recruit and onboard new counseling staff, practicum students, graduate assistants, interns, and other program participants.
  • Develop and oversee educational outreach programs for both campus and community members, addressing mental health issues and student concerns. This includes actively participating in university committees related to these areas.
  • Participate in weekly case conferences and informal consultations to ensure coordinated client care and best practices.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload of clients while providing direct counseling services, crisis intervention, and assessments.

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with a strong commitment to training and supervision in the field of mental health. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Approved Supervisor (BHEC) in the state of Texas.
  • Extensive experience providing supervision to licensed counselors and graduate students.
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college counseling center or university setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish preferred).
