Job Title: Safety Specialist

Job Summary:

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising all field projects related to safety programs and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance on safety matters to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with project management and field crews to ensure safety protocols are followed during pre-planning and execution of job sites.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, including disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.

Requirements:

  • Overhead Distribution, Transmission, or Substation experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Madison, Wisconsin, with 80% field construction site work and 20% office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in all weather conditions and perform safety-related tasks in a variety of settings.
