Job Responsibilities- Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, and other daily living activities.
- Serving meals to residents and providing assistance with feeding when necessary.
- Monitoring vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure, and reporting any irregularities to supervising staff.
- Observing residents throughout the shift and notifying nurses of any concerns or unusual findings.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by changing linens, cleaning surfaces, and tidying residents' rooms.
- Assisting in the transportation of residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, and examination tables.
- Providing companionship and a compassionate presence to residents.
- Communicating effectively with visitors, family members, and staff, serving as a liaison between them and residents.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Rhode Island
- Familiarity with medical terminology and nursing care protocols
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
