Job Responsibilities
  • Assisting residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, and other daily living activities.
  • Serving meals to residents and providing assistance with feeding when necessary.
  • Monitoring vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure, and reporting any irregularities to supervising staff.
  • Observing residents throughout the shift and notifying nurses of any concerns or unusual findings.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by changing linens, cleaning surfaces, and tidying residents' rooms.
  • Assisting in the transportation of residents to and from wheelchairs, beds, and examination tables.
  • Providing companionship and a compassionate presence to residents.
  • Communicating effectively with visitors, family members, and staff, serving as a liaison between them and residents.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Rhode Island
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and nursing care protocols
