Position Summary
We are seeking a devoted and compassionate Kennel Attendant. The primary role of the Kennel Attendant is to ensure the daily needs of our patients are met. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their comfort and care are essential for this position. Additionally, a significant aspect of this role involves maintaining cleanliness alongside providing pet care.

An ideal candidate will view this as an entry-level opportunity within a busy veterinary environment and possess a strong desire for professional development.


Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive care to patients while prioritizing their safety
- Groom and maintain the hygiene of dogs and cats, including bathing and nail trimming
- Accurately document and communicate important information regarding patient conditions
- Ensure cleanliness of all patient enclosures, treatment areas, and kennels on a daily basis
- Safely escort patients in our secure outdoor space
- Assist in the thorough cleaning of examination rooms as needed
- Manage inventory and restocking of supplies
- Complete closing checklists as required

Qualifications and Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative
- Capability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while making sound decisions
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Strong prioritization and efficiency skills
- Must be able to lift patients weighing up to 40 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance
