Withum's team is looking for a Senior professional to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in providing assurance services to privately held small-to-medium enterprises seeking a singular point of contact for their business needs. This opportunity allows the selected candidate to engage directly with business owners and their families, offering consultative planning insights while being part of a dynamic and expanding firm. The position supports a permanent hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining staff while assigning challenging tasks
  • Reviewing the preparation of compilation and review level financial statements
  • Collaborating across various departments, including tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory, to identify opportunities for comprehensive client service
  • Staying updated on technical and industry advancements and assessing their potential impact on clients' business and financial status
  • Participating in client proposals and recognizing new business development prospects.
  • Leading the engagement team in planning and executing audit, review, or compilation engagements to deliver exceptional client service
  • Overseeing daily operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a related business field
  • CPA designation or intent to pursue the CPA exam
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a CPA firm focusing on external audits and general accounting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and technical capabilities
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Capacity to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively represent the Firm to clients' management
