Medical Records Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Technician to join our team at HireLiving, Inc. As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security, confidentiality, and accuracy of medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, process, and maintain medical records, ensuring compliance with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Protect the security of medical records, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accurate and complete records.
- Release information to authorized persons and agencies, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
- Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including training new staff and updating staff on changes in regulations or policies.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or HSD/GED and two years of related experience.
- Certification as a medical records technician by the American Health Information Management Association or associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Two years of experience as a Medical Records Technician/Processor in a medical record unit.
- Experience processing records requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable in HIPAA and/or state and federal confidentiality guidelines.
