Equipment Maintenance Technician
">We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team in North Carolina. As a member of our maintenance crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment fleet.
">Job Summary:
">The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, including heavy construction machinery and trucks. This will involve lubricating, cleaning, and performing other services to maximize performance and limit downtime.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Promote safety throughout the operation by prioritizing safety protocols and adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Repair and maintain mobile equipment, including heavy construction machinery and trucks.
- Inspect equipment and material to identify and schedule services based on company and manufacturer's recommendations.
- Document and record information accurately and efficiently.
- Perform general physical activities, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Qualifications:
">- Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in servicing heavy construction equipment is highly desired.
- Ability to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
