- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including those related to engines, motors, and conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and equipment to ensure the maintenance team is equipped to handle emerging challenges.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, motors, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and hazardous materials. The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols is essential.
