Job Title: Senior Protection and Control Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Qualus. As a key member of our Substation Protection and Control department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the design and implementation of protective relaying and communications systems for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design concurrence and develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems.
  • Develop SCADA packages, including input/output lists and provide technical direction to drafters, engineering technicians, and less experienced engineers.
  • Provide technical solutions to clients and respond to technical concerns in a knowledgeable and articulate manner.
  • Direct and/or participate in client meetings and job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data.
  • Ensure compliance with company Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes and delegate, plan, prioritize, and review the work of other engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of electrical engineering experience, with a focus on protection and control engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or plan to become registered.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
