We are currently looking for a Food Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of our food offerings. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive testing of raw ingredients, in-process samples, and final products.
  • Keep precise documentation of all testing procedures.
  • Remain informed about food safety laws and industry best practices.
  • Spot opportunities for enhancing processes.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food sector.
  • Familiarity with food safety laws and quality management principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include food safety and HACCP & PCHF.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP for quality oversight.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and CAPA methodologies.
  • Strong writing skills for technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and statistical analysis tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in a laboratory setting.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a laboratory environment within a food manufacturing facility, with occasional travel as necessary.
