About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at American Equipment HR LLC. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Development Team
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Testing
    • Conduct thorough functional testing, data analysis, and database reviews to verify software quality and system functionality.
  • Identify and Address Coding Issues
    • Utilize programming skills to identify and address coding issues or configuration errors impacting system installations or functionality.
  • Enter Identified Errors into Bug Tracking System
    • Enter identified coding errors into our bug tracking system and coordinate with developers to implement necessary code updates.
  • Verify System Functionality
    • Verify system functionality post-installation to ensure customer requirements are met and address any outstanding issues.
  • Review Code for Security Vulnerabilities
    • Review code in progress for security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Research and Evaluate Innovative Technologies
    • Research and evaluate innovative technologies for potential incorporation into our software products.
  • Undertake Small Customization Jobs
    • Undertake small customization jobs for customers as needed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in software quality assurance and release engineering roles.
  • Skills
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and release management.
    • Proficiency in C# and.NET for troubleshooting and code review.
    • Experience with bug tracking systems and version control tools.
    • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Skills
    • Knowledge of security testing tools and techniques.
    • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
