Orthopedic Pain Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Pain Management Specialist to join our team at AICA Orthopedics. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of acute pain sources and scrutinize lab data to inform treatment decisions.
- Perform and interpret common laboratory, radiological, and other routine diagnostic procedures to identify pathophysiologic processes.
- Assist with record keeping, complete patient medical chart documentation, and transcribe lab data and routine correspondence as directed and reviewed by a physician.
- Refer patients to physicians as appropriate for consultation or for specialized interventional pain procedures or to surgeons for surgical intervention.
- Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multidisciplinary care team or with other specialty areas as necessary.
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program with a master's degree in nursing.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interventional pain management and/or orthopedic experience preferred.
- Current state licensure and physician assistant or nurse practitioner certification.
- Prescriptive authority for licensure and current DEA license to prescribe.
- Proficient at trigger point injections and ordering interventional spine procedures.
- Current ACLS and BLS license.
- Demonstrated competency and the ability to perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan development and invasive procedures as per clinical privileges.
- 5 years of surgical assistance experience desired, but not required.
