Position Overview
The Colusa County Office of Education is seeking Educational Support Specialists to assist certified educators in delivering instruction to individuals or groups of students within designated special education programs. Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on student progress in terms of behavior and academic performance, as well as performing various clerical tasks to support the instructional process.
Qualifications and Requirements

SALARY RANGE:
$21.98 - $32.87 per hour
WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours per day, 195 days per year (183 workdays + 12 holidays)
Benefits:
Paid vacation and sick leave; participation in CalPERS retirement plan.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a structured environment. Candidates must meet Title I Paraprofessional requirements, which include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of college coursework (48 units); an Associate's degree or higher; or successful completion of a local assessment demonstrating knowledge and skills in instructional assistance.
LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS:
Basic First Aid and a valid CPR certificate from an authorized agency (this requirement may be fulfilled post-employment). Successful candidates will be required to undergo DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, verification of COVID-19 vaccination (or an equivalent program requirement), possess a valid California driver's license, and disclose their CA-DMV Driver Record following job offer acceptance.
