Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector for a contract role. This position requires a strong focus on quality inspection within the electromechanical sector.


Key Responsibilities:


As a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of components, housings, and finished assemblies to ensure compliance with established work instructions, industry standards, and technical drawings.
  • Utilizing low and high power microscopes, as well as various test equipment and hand-held inspection tools to perform inspections.
  • Documenting inspection results in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to report and detail any non-conformances identified during inspections.

Required Qualifications:


To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Experience with microscope visual inspection.
  • A minimum of 3 years of inspection experience.
  • Training and awareness in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
  • A valid secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in using inspection hand tools.
  • The ability to follow detailed work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:


Additional experience in the following areas is desirable:

  • Defense industry experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP Quality Module.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, Mil-STD-883, IPC-610, and J-STD-001 (active certification preferred).
  • Experience working in clean room environments.
  • Understanding of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) protocols.

Education:

An accredited High School diploma or GED is required.


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a 4/10 work schedule, specifically on the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM.
