Job Overview

Position: Personal Lines Account Manager

Location: On-site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all account activities including applications, quotes, ID cards, endorsements, claims, renewals, and client correspondence.
  • Address client inquiries and manage incoming communications efficiently.
  • Conduct annual assessments of coverage and suggest enhancements or increased limits as necessary.
  • Evaluate new business, renewals, and endorsements to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requests.
  • Track expiration dates for additional policies and proactively promote sales of related lines on mono-line accounts.
  • Stay updated on new sales initiatives and programs.
  • Utilize agency management systems to sell new personal lines accounts and manage all transactions.
  • Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance insurance knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of underwriting standards for contracted insurance providers.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience with property and casualty personal lines, including knowledge of coverages, underwriting, and rating.
  • Desire to learn and advance within the agency.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Technical proficiency and expertise in client relations.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred qualifications include a college degree, CISR, ACSR, CIC, or CPCU.
  • Possession of relevant insurance certifications or licenses is preferred, or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
