About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment and systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs as required, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Inspect and maintain motor, belts, fluid levels, and other equipment components, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage maintenance activities, ensuring efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, including basic welding activities and equipment inspections.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree in an appropriate background preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required; applicable military experience considered.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment, with ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required, with ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required; ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
