We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at MidTN Volunteer Properties. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and/or install items of general carpentry on the exterior and interior of the property.
  • Prepare vacant units for move-in, including interior and exterior paint, updating fixtures, changing locks, replacing windows, and other maintenance items.
  • Ensure systems, structures, and building codes are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Consult with subcontractors for scheduling, preparation, and provide assistance as instructed.
  • Address issues with landscaping, snow/ice removal, and remove debris and trash from the property grounds.
  • Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide or escorting pest control to units for professional service.
  • Conduct all other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in the multi-family industry.
  • EPA Certification preferred.
  • Good physical condition and strength to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk long distances.
  • Driver's License to travel to multiple properties.
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed.
