The Gatlinburg SkyPark is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grounds Keeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the SkyPark's grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
Responsibilities- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging grass, as well as picking up litter and debris.
- Utilize hand tools and landscaping equipment to maintain and improve the appearance of the park grounds.
- Maintain and enhance park cleanliness, including emptying trash and recycling receptacles.
- Apply fertilizers and other chemicals to enhance plant growth and maintain a healthy landscape.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping.
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
- Responsible for any new plantings on the property, including watering and fertilizing as needed.
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on park elements, such as the water feature.
- Must work your scheduled hours and be flexible with interruptions, changes, and unexpected events.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Grounds maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds.
This is an outdoor position with exposure to the elements at times. Your daily assignments will be in various locations around the property.
Additional InformationThis is a full-time, year-round day and weekend position. Overtime may or may not be available. Travel may be necessary to acquire supplies or equipment necessary to complete a job assignment.
