Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist Senior/General will provide diagnostic imaging for patients to assist the physician in expediting needed care. Key responsibilities include performing or assisting in procedures per department protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and utilizing proper procedures for identifying images, patients, and marking images correctly for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform or assist in procedures per department protocols

  • Order exams that match the procedures being performed

Requirements:

  • AS degree
  • KY Radiation Operator's License
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Work Environment:

This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; working in confined spaces; occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions.

Customer Service:

Customer service is essential, and this position will address patient needs with age-specific criteria, from neonates to geriatrics. Call is required for this position, and the incumbent must meet the call back standards established for General Radiology.
