Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Hopedale Medical Complex. As a key member of our childcare center, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of each child, promoting emotional, physical, intellectual, and social growth.
- Supervise and evaluate programs, providing guidance and support to classroom teachers, and contributing to staff development through in-service training.
- Prepare and implement weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Establish a safe and welcoming atmosphere, maintaining a clean and organized space that promotes growth and development.
- Observe, record, and report significant individual or group behaviors to supervisors, ensuring accurate records and files are maintained.
- Utilize positive discipline methods, promoting a culture of respect and empathy within the childcare center.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate formal parent-teacher conferences, providing regular updates and feedback to parents.
- Recruit children, process applications, and manage enrollment numbers, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.
- Communicate effectively with parents, addressing concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Coordinate purchases and inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring the childcare center is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of children.
- Maintain open communication with community agencies, fostering partnerships and collaborations that benefit the childcare center and the community.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of child development patterns, emotional maturity, and stability, with a joyful approach to teaching children.
- 1560 clock hours of experience in a recreational program or licensed day care center serving school-age children, with six semester hours of credit in related fields.
