Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Environmental Services team, the Floor Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a pristine and safe environment for all individuals within the facility. This position is essential in ensuring that both residents and staff experience a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to the established cleaning schedule, which includes daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for housekeeping personnel.
2. Floor Care:
Perform a variety of floor maintenance tasks, including dry mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting as needed. Provide emergency cleaning services when required.
3. Maintain assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures in accordance with established housekeeping protocols.
4. Ensure the cleanliness of entrances and exits to promote a welcoming environment.
5. Communicate supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor and maintain all equipment utilized in the performance of duties.
6. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home, adult day care, or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform all responsibilities independently without direct supervision.
- Dependability, flexibility, and a compassionate attitude are essential.
- Capability to complete tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
