We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer/Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Metalex Manufacturing, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities- CMM Programming: Generate CMM programs in advance of inspections using PC-DMIS and Polyworks software, and work with our team to optimize the inspection process.
- Quality Inspection: Perform first piece, in-process, and final dimensional and visual inspections on complex precision machined parts, ensuring compliance to customer specifications and internal manufacturing instructions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document all inspection results consistently with company procedures and customer requirements, and issue non-conformances and quality notifications as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Programming, Machinists, and other business units to support quality planning, process development, and quotation estimating activities.
- Programming Skills: Strong programming skills with experience programming/operating a CMM using PC-DMIS/Polyworks to inspect complex geometries.
- Aerospace Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Aerospace Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles with practical hands-on application in a manufacturing environment.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
